About Duxbury Networking

Established in 1984, Duxbury Networking is a specialist networking distributor, targeting both the South African value added reseller community and sub-Saharan African markets. With distribution centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg, it is able to offer resellers ready access to stock, regardless of their location.

The company has broad-ranging expertise in the local, wide and wireless networking arenas, as well as in the mobile, voice and traditional data communications markets. This is backed by a comprehensive portfolio of products that includes sole distributorship agreements for two leading global brands.

Duxbury Networking has developed solid relationships with internationally recognised vendors in the networking, interconnectivity, wireless and convergence technology environments. They include Bridgewave, Colubris Networks, Enterasys Networks, HP Procurve Networking, Mitel, Netgear and Proxim. The company is also well-known for its Duxbury branded modems and a range of mobility products.

BEE Status

Committed to transformation, Duxbury Networking has adopted the same holistic and pragmatic approach it applies to all its business strategies. It is determined to achieve the highest levels of compliance within the Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) broad based black economic empowerment guidelines and has appointed Baneth Consulting and Business Solutions to guide it towards becoming a Level 4 contributor, with Black ownership being the preferred route. Transformation will be implemented throughout the company with the full support of all stakeholders.

CSI Initiatives

Duxbury Networking has identified the need to equip young entrepreneurs with the skills required to compete in the local technology market. Through mentorship programmes aimed at overcoming computer-illiteracy among educators, for example, the company has consistently exceeded the DTI's guideline of 2% of annual turnover dedicated to Corporate Social Investment initiatives.
