Johannesburg 5 May 2026 – Duxbury Networking has announced a new distribution partnership with Northwest Towers, a manufacturer of hardened, mission-critical network infrastructure designed for deployment in demanding environments such as mining, ports, industrial facilities, and large-scale agricultural operations.

The partnership expands Duxbury’s ability to support industrial wireless deployments with infrastructure specifically engineered to withstand harsh operating conditions. Northwest Towers’ portfolio includes ruggedised antennas, POE switches, mesh radios POE Injectors, mobile and fixed tower systems, and integrated network solutions designed to operate in environments exposed to dust, vibration, temperature extremes, and limited on-site support.

For many organisations operating in these sectors, traditional network infrastructure is not designed for the realities of the field. Equipment failure can disrupt operations, impact safety systems, and introduce costly downtime. As wireless connectivity becomes more central to these environments, the supporting infrastructure must meet the same reliability expectations.

Teresa Huysamen, Business Unit Manager at Duxbury Networking, says the addition of Northwest Towers to the Duxbury product offering reflects a growing need to align network design with real-world operating conditions.

“In industrial environments, the network is often deployed far from controlled conditions. Equipment needs to perform consistently in locations where maintenance access is limited and operational continuity is critical. This partnership allows us to extend our solutions beyond connectivity and ensure the supporting infrastructure is built for those conditions.”

Northwest Towers has been expanding its global distribution footprint, with new partners across Europe, North America, and South America. The appointment of Duxbury provides regional representation in Africa, where demand for industrial-grade connectivity continues to grow.

The company’s solutions are typically deployed as part of broader industrial wireless environments, supporting applications such as real-time monitoring, autonomous operations, safety systems, and asset tracking. In these scenarios, infrastructure is required to support not only network performance but also physical resilience.

The partnership complements Duxbury’s existing networking portfolio, particularly in environments where high-performance wireless solutions are already in place. By adding hardened infrastructure to its offering, Duxbury can support a more comprehensive deployment model, from network design through to physical installation in challenging environments.

“Industrial connectivity projects are becoming more complex as organisations expand into remote and high-risk environments. It is no longer enough to design a network that works under ideal conditions. The infrastructure around that network must be able to handle the realities of where it is deployed,” says Huysamen.

The solutions will be positioned as a complementary offering within Duxbury’s wireless portfolio and introduced to the channel on a demand-driven basis, aligned with specific project requirements.

As sectors such as mining, logistics, and agriculture continue to adopt digital technologies, the ability to deploy resilient, field-ready network infrastructure is becoming a key factor in project success. For Duxbury, the partnership represents a step toward supporting these environments with solutions designed not only to connect but to stand the test of time in the harshest operating conditions.
